In New Orleans and especially at Tulane, there is never a shortage of things to do and there are so many opportunities to get out into the city. In one weekend I can go to two festivals, submit a paper to be published, interview musicians and go to their concert! I have gotten to meet so many fascinating people from all different backgrounds both on and off campus.
Z'otz Coffee shop on Oak Street! You will find me there doing some homework or just stopping by to grab a blackberry hibiscus Arnold Palmer at least once a week.
Christina Kiel has the coolest stories ever about being a German Diplomat to North Korea or Israel during the signing of the Oslo Accords in 1993. She is so knowledgeable about everything it seems and always does her best to help me with things in class and out of class.
Oktoberfest!! I had so much fun this year going to listen to Polka music pop covers and celebrate German culture. There were so many children and dogs around and everyone I met was incredibly kind and open to talking. I also love love loved Jazzfest last year and I am 100% going back this year.
