my visit to Tulane demonstrated just how much the students on campus were passionate about their individual interests, while also passionate about supporting their peers. The support system I've found at Tulane is incomparable. And it doesn't hurt that we're centered in one of the most unique and vibrant cities in the world.
White Linen Night. All of the art galleries on Julia St feature open galleries, artists' receptions and live music and entertainment in the street while you walk around in white linen from gallery to gallery!
the Central Business District and the Bywater. Both neighborhoods don't get nearly as much attention as they deserve!
Creative Writing with Professor Lazar. Not only is Professor Lazar incredibly knowledgable in his field (he recently won the John Updike Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters), but he's also the most approachable professor I've ever had.
