There are so many to choose from, but the Voodoo music festival in October is probably my favorite festival. It normally showcases some great artists, and it's fun to celebrate Halloween and wonderful music simultaneously.
My favorite spots include any and all restaurants! I am a big foodie, and my family jokes that this could be one of the real reasons I chose to attend college in New Orleans. Some of my favorite eateries in the city include Satsuma, Surrey's, St. Roch Market, Velvet Cactus, and Refuel.
My favorite Tulane class by far has been yoga. I initially took a yoga TIDES course my freshman year and fell in love with the class and the professor. I was thrilled to find out that this course was offered outside of TIDES as well, so I took it again with the same professor my sophomore year. It was so nice to be able to relax twice a week and de-stress while learning about yoga philosophy.
I wanted to attend a reputable school in one of the greatest cities on Earth. I always dreamed of living in New Orleans after high school, but I wanted to simultaneously be in a place where I could challenge myself academically. Therefore, Tulane was the perfect fit for me! It's a school with so much personality and opportunity, and I feel as though I've truly thrived here.
