Major: Public Health

Secondary Major: Spanish

My favorite spots in New Orleans are...

Gasa Gasa, Audobon Park, Buffalo Exchange, La Petite Grocery, Croissant D'Or, Magazine St, Garden District, Domilise's, Ba Chi, Company Bagel.

Favorite Tulane class/professor...

Gender & Society (SOCI 1040) with Professor Starr or Intro to Public Health (SPHU 1010) with Professor Cropley. They're both great lecturers and they keep the class engaged! Professor Cropley is super knowledgeable about Public Health and her anecdotes and stories from her career are amazing to hear! Professor Starr is so well versed in gender literature and her class is fast paced but thoroughly interesting.

My favorite NOLA festival is...

Po Boy Fest on Oak St! I had a softshell crab po boy that was amaaaazing.

I chose Tulane because...

I knew that coming from a small, project based, independent school like my high school would be vastly different, but I also took interest in Tulane because I know it still carries the characteristics of my school that I adored. Tulane shares an appreciation for integral learning in order to see an issue from as many different angles as possible. Diversity in both New Orleans and Los Angeles are hallmarks of the city, and we take our differences as a point of pride, not contention. “Angelenos” and “New Orleanians” alike understand that having a city rich with different cultural histories is the best part about where you live. I’ve found that compassion for diversity and that appreciation for multiculturalism are things I’ve adored about living in Los Angeles and it has been one of the main reasons why I picked Tulane.
