My favorite festival is Mardi Gras, and the days approaching it! The booming culture and vibrance of the city radiates during the Mardi season. I love watching the parades of Krewes, catching beads, and digging into King Cake! Many of my most cherished memories happen during the Mardi Gras holidays.
My favorite spots in New Orleans are Magazine Street and Morning Call on Canal. Magazine is made up of unique boutiques and is home to many of my favorite restaurants in NOLA. However, when I am feeling for a good beignet I turn to Morning Call, and pair it with a cup of hot chocolate. Not only do they have the best beignets in the city (in my opinion), their menu includes signature NOLA meals like red beans, gumbo, and jambalaya.
You can find your passion! Tulane allows you to explore all of your interests; upon acceptance, you are admitted to each of the five schools. This interdisciplinary system coupled with a supportive environment creates a space for students to thrive!
My favorite class at Tulane has been Pandemics and Public Health taught by my favorite professor, Dr. Bond. In that course I learned about the global history of pandemics, how to classify them, and more importantly, how to prevent the next one.
