My favorite spots in New Orleans are...

I really love Jackson Square on the weekends. It is filled with tons of art from the locals, as well as street performers and bands. I also love to eat at Slim Goodies whenever possible, because it gets me out of the Tulane bubble and stays true to the authenticity of New Orleans without exploiting it.

My favorite NOLA festival is...

My favorite festivals are Beignet Fest and the Fried Chicken Festival. I love both of these festivals because they are smaller and tend to be less touristy and more authentic to New Orleans.

Favorite Tulane class/professor...

I really enjoyed taking E-Biology with Professor Henry, because she was so passionate about her work. I have also enjoyed my Brain and Behavior class with Professor Black. I find the subject matter extremely interesting.

I chose Tulane because I wanted to go a university that placed emphasis on community service and had a relaxed and collaborative atmosphere.
