I felt a sense of community that I did not feel at the other schools I visited. Tulane students are so spirited, so involved with Tulane and the city, and it creates a sense of belonging to something bigger than yourself.
My favorite NOLA festival is BBQ and Blues Festival. It was the first festival I ever went to my freshman year and it made me fall in love with the NOLA Culture. It's held in October and brings great food and great music to Lafayette Square.
My favorite spot is the Fly, which is on the bank of the Mississippi River. Tulane students love to hang out at the Fly on Friday's and watch the sunset over the River. It feels like paradise and it's only a few minutes from campus!
My favorite class has been Management Communications with Kelly Grant. This class teaches business students how to write and present professionally, two key skills in the business environment. Professor Grant makes the class interactive, engaging, and challenging, and wants nothing more than for her students to succeed and actually learn.
