What initially drew me to Tulane was the vibrant mood on campus. When I arrived at Tulane my junior year of high school, all of the students were just getting back from their spring break. Unlike the sad, dreary mood that typically filled the halls of my high school when we got back from break, the students at Tulane were just so happy to be back in their place. I chose Tulane because I wanted to feel that same excitement and love for my campus. Of course, I was also drawn to Tulane's wide variety of academic offerings as well as its unique location.
My favorite class that I have taken so far at Tulane was Deviant Behavior (SOCI 1080) with Kelsey Yeargain. It was so interesting to look at how society deems what is taboo as well as how we characterize these behaviors based on socioeconomic status, race, ethnicity, and gender.
