It was the perfect intersection of a school with challenging academics, a vibrant social scene, and an exciting location. Tulane is truly a place like no other and there's something new to experience.
My favorite professor and class I've had at Tulane was my freshman year Ancient Societies class with Professor Chirs Rodning. After taking an anthropology class on a whim, Prof Rodning showed me how cool the subject could be. The introductory class opened my eyes to the study of anthropology and after that year I added it as my second major.
Mardi Gras. It may be the basic choice but that's because it's truly the best. Mardi Gras is a time when the whole city (and a ton of tourists) come together to celebrate. There are so many insane parades and crazy events to attend in the city of New Orleans and around Tulane.
Baru, Addis, and Haiku. It's nearly impossible to narrow down the best spots to eat in New Orleans so I chose my three favorites on Magazine street. Baru is a Latin-Caribbean tapas place, Addis is an Ethiopian kitchen, and Haiku is a sushi restaurant. No matter what you're craving you can find an excellent restaurant in New Orleans.
