Tulane has so many aspects that make it the ideal home for me. I first learned about the school because my mother is an alumnus and my sister is a current student. However, the idea of being a “copy-cat” of my mother and sister drove me mad. I did everything I could to try and not fall in love with Tulane, but that was difficult. From the academic prestige to the location of the campus, and the 200 plus student organizations, I knew Tulane was the school for me. I loved going on tours at Tulane and hearing the Green Wave Ambassadors list off their multiple majors and community involvement. There was nowhere else that someone could study Neuroscience and Dance while also being in an A cappella group. Tulane fosters a student body that is committed to grades and giving back. All throughout High School, I was the girl who did it all. I loved having afternoons packed with activities and weekends full of fundraisers and events to attend. There is so much beauty in the campus and surrounding city, but the people were what made me want to be a Tulanian.
