My favorite class at Tulane so far has been my first year seminar course with Professor Aiden Smith called Frames, Films, and Femme Fatales. In the class we watched and discussed a massive variety of films through a feminist lens. It was a great environment for fostering discussion and hearing from diverse perspectives. We also got to attend the New Orleans Film Festival which was a very cool experience!
I love the flexibility in what I can study that Tulane allows by being accepted into all five schools within Newcomb-Tulane College, enabling me to combine my creative interests with practical knowledge by double majoring across the School of Liberal Arts and the A.B. Freeman School of Business. The city of New Orleans is also such a unique place to have the privilege to live in with such an formative history full of different cultural influences!
There are way too many to choose from, but my top two are Jazz Fest (which I've been going to since I was four years old) and French Quarter Fest!
My favorite spots in New Orleans are The Fly, the Garden District, and St. Charles Avenue (specifically from the view of the streetcar)!
