I chose Tulane because I wanted to feel at home in my academic community. Growing up as a New Orleans metro area local, I attended many Tulane events such as Crawfest, baseball games, and guest speaker lectures. Tulane is, and has always been, a place where I feel comfortable and at home, and I hope to pass that on to future generations of Tulanians.
Since New Orleans has such a wide array of festivals, it’s difficult to choose a favorite, which is why I’ll share my top three! 1. Bayou Boogaloo: music and arts festival taking place on Bayou St. John. 2. Tennessee Williams Literary Festival: festival for music, art, and theater fanatics located in the French Quarter. 3. New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival: the quintessential New Orleans food and music fest located at the Fair Grounds Race Course.
My favorite professor at Tulane is Professor Ambika Prasad. Professor Prasad teaches management courses in the Freeman School of Business. I have taken three classes with Professor Prasad, Organizational Behavior, Leadership, and Dimensions of Human Resource Management, and I’ve loved each one of them. Professor Prasad is a truly engaging instructor and I encourage any prospective business students to take a class with her!
