All the coffee shops! Trumpet and Drum, Z’otz, and Mojo Coffee House are some of my favorites, but The Vintage takes the top spot — all their food items and lattes make for the perfect study break.
My favorite class was Mechanics of Materials with Professor Ahmad Majed because it represented a turning point in my growth as a student. After struggling in his previous course, Statics, his supportive and approachable teaching style motivated me to improve my study habits. His effort to connect with students made the material engaging and pushed me to succeed.
My favorite New Orleans festival is Mardi Gras. The parades, music, and catching beads with friends make it one of the most exciting times of the year. I love that Tulane has its own bead tree, where students hang their beads and keep the Mardi Gras spirit going on campus.
I chose Tulane because it offers more than just strong academics and research opportunities — it offers a sense of connection. From the relationships I’ve built with professors, mentors, and friends, this school has consistently made me feel at home. The culture of Tulane, much like New Orleans itself, is vibrant and full of music, diversity, and energy, making every day on campus feel inspiring and alive.
