Cafe du Monde, Willa Jean, Rum House, Creole Creamery, Dat Dog, Morning Call at City Park. Hmm, that's strange, they all seem to be food places...
My favorite Tulane class was my Workshop Creative Writing class on memoir writing with Professor Constance Adler. My favorite professor has been Professor David Goldstein of the Jewish Studies department. Every semester, he invites each of his classes to his house (only about five minutes from campus) for bagels and lox with him and his wife!
Crawfest! It's conveniently right on the LBC quad on campus and free entry for students! They always have great bands playing, awesome craw-swag, and of course thousands upon thousands of pounds of crawfish. Yum!
As cheesy as it sounds, Tulane was the perfect fit for me. The medium sized student body, the beautiful campus, and the rigorous academics were exactly what I was looking for in my university, for starters. I was drawn to the unique quirks and traditions at Tulane, from Crawfest to the campus cats, as well as the incredible opportunity to live in such a vibrant, funky city as New Orleans. The people at Tulane and in New Orleans are so genuinely friendly and some of the best people I have ever met. Choosing Tulane was the best decision I have ever made.
