Class of 2020
Hometown: Long Beach, CA
Being a freshman I don't have the extensive NOLA festival knowledge as some of the other upperclassman, but any time you can go down to the French quarter and experience the unique New Orleans culture is a can't miss opportunity.
Spanish 2030 with Professor Bruckner is my favorite class because she is the most energetic Venezuelan woman you will ever meet and she makes Spanish on Monday morning something I jump out of bed for!
The Fly is the place to be on Friday afternoon, the Republic is my go to venue for great concerts, and Rum House on Magazine is the place to go when the southern California in me is missing great tacos and salsa.
I wanted a college that provided me with a great Business school, a thriving city, and the experience to go away to college with students from all over the world. The mid-level size of the student body was also something I wanted out of a school so that I wasn't just another number at a huge university, but also so that I wasn't somewhere so small that it still felt like high school.
